Spouses or partners beware in the event of having an argument make sure there isn’t a bowl of grapes sitting around as your life could be in jeopardy.  Who knew that grapes could be used as a weapon …flagranny2 🙂

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla.A Volusia County man with a gripe used a grape when he got angry, authorities said. Sebastiano Russo, 75, was arrested following the incident.

Deputies said Russo threw a grape in his ex-wife’s face and then threatened to kill her and burn down the house.

Russo and the victim still live together, but investigators said they were arguing about who would ultimately get the house.

Authorities said Russo had been drinking and became enraged before the fruit started flying.

I’m 67 and thought I had seen and heard every excuse imagined UNTIL  NOW but when I saw this article I thought this excuse has to be the # 1 excuses of all time.

 STUART, Fla —  Authorities have filed another 90 charges of possession of child pornography against a Martin County man who blamed the crime on his cat.

According to a sheriff’s report, Jensen Beach resident Keith Griffin told investigators that pornographic images downloaded when his cat jumped on his computer keyboard while he was downloading music.

Griffin was arrested in early August and charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography. Investigators filed the additional charges on Thursday.

Griffin is being held in lieu of $2.2 million bail at the Martin County Jail. He was not immediately known if he has an attorney.

Sheriff’s officials said a family friend was caring for the cat.

claudia-mejia.jpgSANFORD, Fla —  A woman who became infected with flesh-eating bacteria after giving birth, leading to the amputation of her arms and legs, has settled her lawsuit against the central Florida hospital.
Court records show that 27-year-old Claudia Mejia Edwards, of Sanford, will receive an undisclosed sum from Orlando Health.

Edwards’ attorney confirmed the settlement Monday but wouldn’t comment on the amount.

Edwards was admitted to Orlando Regional South Seminole Hospital in Longwood on April 28, 2005, and gave birth to her son, Matthew. Fever set in over the next few hours, and her conditioned worsened over the next couple days. Doctors eventually concluded her body was being attacked by Group A Streptococcal infection. They amputated all four limbs, hoping to save her life.

wesley-murray_20090505133132_320_240TAMPA – The suspect in the kidnapping and death of a 4-month-old infant will face first-degree murder charges, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a domestic violence call at the Mirabella Apartments in the 12400  block of 15th Street North in Tampa 3:15 a.m.

 The 17-year-old mother said her ex-boyfriend beat her and threw her infant son down on the concrete, then took off with the child.

When the police found McTear they told him he would be facing a 1st degree murder charge
