HAT CREEK, Calif. – Are we alone?

The telescopes in the Allen Array in Hat Creek, Calif., came back to life in December, scanning for signals in the constellation Cygnus. Only 42 of the planned 350 antennas have been built.
It’s hard to imagine what the next 50 to 100 years will bring !! I know that in my 70 years I’ve seen so many changes but here is just a few:
-
Television black & white, a 10″ screen, we thought it was amazing even watching the crazy test patterns
-
Gasoline prices – from 25 cents to $3++
-
Washing machines with no wringer and dryers, gosh no more hanging clothes outside in the winter – awesome
-
Typewriters to computers
-
Telephones – Party lines and dial to cell phones
-
Dishwashers – yeah, no more drying by hand
-
Rockets- launching a man into space – (Think of all the Sci-Fi movies prior to astronauts)
-
Shuttles – taking man to the moon
