CHARLESTON, S.C., June 19 – Not since 9/11 has our nation suffered such a tragic loss of lifes of firemen until Monday, June 18th when a burning furniture warehouse engulfed the lifes of 9 heroic firefighters.

If you ask any firefighter they play down the “hero” part and say they are only doing their job but in doing their job they are putting their life on the line every time they respond to a fire alarm.  On Monday the 18th, little did they know the alarm they would respond to would be the most devastating one in the nation’s history and the first casualty of that fire department since 40 years ago.
